At the moment I am jumping in my Albion K2, which has huge knee rolls. Do you think it helps your position a lot more in a jumping saddle? I would still want to hack out in it etc. Also what are the best ones?

Thanks

I have a Barnsby event saddle and it is lovely and comfortable - I do all my hacking out in it all my SJing and of course XC. Its lovely.

I think it depends on the rider to be honest

I have a GP with enough knee and thigh support, but not a huge amount, and i like the freedom it gives me in the saddle. My ex-trainer used to like something with even less support though....and he used to joke that if you were a good enough rider, you didn't need any support at all

All right for him to say i guess, but i do like a little more

I have the albion k2 jumping saddle and I love it, do everything in it although instructor did suggest i should maybe invest in a dressage saddle at some point for flat work!

We used a k2 gp for jumping + hunting + flatwork, the only time it could be considered a hindrance was for more adv xc work. Other than that I would love to have one again but they just do not fit my current ned.
