Taking three horses to a show on sunday only local unaff.
One is mine (outgrown pony, my feet are nearer his knees than his sides), jumping the 3'3 and 3'6 we'll call A
The other two B and C belong to two other people
Jumping B in 2'6 and 2'9 (last went to a show when she was 4, and that was oaver three years ago)
and taking C in riding club horse and working hunter
So today jumped all of them A was good but very erm... "awake"
.
Jumped C for the first time (only been riding it 3 days) with owner putting up fences. Idiot horse thought it would be fun to stop at a 1m (not huge but big enough for what he next did) fence knocking it down then take off with all four legs at the same time to jump something that wasn't there
. Owner stands there killing herself laughing while i'm clinging on to animals neck so I don't hit the deck
. Apart from this he was very good.
Then Jumped B who is a complete nutcase and ontop of that is a typical argumentative mare. I've jumped her twice before but only over a single fence and today jumped her over a course with the owner there. B hasn't jumped a course in three years, hadn't even been sat on until I started riding her a year ago because owner didn't have time. Well she was fantastic she jumped everything and due to owner putting up fences (by her own admission she gets very brave when she is on the ground) I ended up jumping her over a 1.40 spread and 1.45 upright with the lowest fence on the course 1.35m. She jumped everything beautifully and I'm so happy with her. (wondering why I'm only doing 2'6 and 2'9 on her
) still planning on doing these classes because she's not been to a show in ages and I can garentee she WILL be crazy
.
sorry so long but you were warned
