A couple of months ago I posted a Link to a video of me jumping my pony, well I jumped him again yesterday and was so pleased with how much he's come on XD

I had only jumped him once or twice between the two months but done lots of flatting and he just seemed to be working much better

It's quite a long video so feel free to skip straight to the back

What a lovely horse - honest and what a natural jump!

How old is he?

I also love the way you pat him after every effort. It's so nice to see!

The only advice I would have, and I'm no expert believe me, is to sit up quicker after the jumps, and not to "throw" your arms at him with your elbows out. Go with his head, but "sit" quieter with your hands.

I have trouble sitting up after jumps, and had a nasty fall 2 weeks ago. I learnt the hard, painful way!

But well done, you look great together. He was obviously enjoying himself and so were you, and that's the most important thing!

He's I think hes about nine (passport doesn'y say) and 14.1 but barely done anything. Hes not normally so confident, normally refuses or does a major cat jump :S I did feel bad looking at the vid with my postion but think that'll help nice time I ride to know I need to concerntrate on those area.

He does some time start digging his heals if he feels like hes not being appreciated hence all the patting!!!

Thanks

No worries!

If he does sometimes refuse or cat jump it's even more important that you sit up.

I always think it's better and safer to be slightly behind the movement rather than ahead of it!

But good on you. You're going to go far with him I think. You have a great attitude!
