Anyone got any tips for me?!

My instructor at the riding school said next week she wants me to go over a small cross pole without stirrups. I asked if I could have the smoothest horse in canter hoping that it would help me along the lines of staying on :p and I going to pad myself up with shoulder pads alongside my body protector.

Am I just over reacting to the thought of it being scary or is it just easy as pie if you remember any good tips?

Can you tell that I'm worried? LOL so please try and put my mind at ease and I've got nothing to worry about :)

Dont panick and ride it the same. Riding with or without stirrups isnt much different and riding without will actually make you a better rider as you will aquire a deeper and more balanced seat.
1 tip however if you grip make sure its with your core muscles and thigh's and not your knees or you may need those shoulder pads ;-)
watch some videos of bareback jumping on youtube and you could also get an idea on how best to ride it.
good luck.
