Get yourself a good instructor who will be able to give you lots of help.

This horse is only a youngster, and it's important to take things slowly and not over face her.

As above - it is VERY easy to diminish a horse's natural jumping style but it doesn't have to be that way if you are careful and considerate in your training. There are so many contributing factors - every thing from your riding, to your saddle fit, to the exercises you do with the horse - that it is essential to have professional help on the ground if you want to maximise your horse's potential. The more input one can get the easier it is to avoid getting in to trouble.

Even the top jumping riders have ground men and get coaching support!

Get some help from an instructor who will be able to help you with exercises such as grid work. Small bounce exercises can help with the horses bascule as well as a number of other grids.

A fence which really helps the horse to be rounder and more careful is a 'step' fence. This is an ascending spread with the front rail very much lower than the back rail.

slowly slowly slowly. Its one thing doing it without a rider on board, but to jump with a rider on board she news a new set of muscles and the balance to do so.

Get a good instructor who specialises in jumping and youngsters and take things one step at a time.
