Junior or Puppy?

In showing, what's considered a junior, and what is a puppy?

Just looking at possibly getting into showing.

Puppies can't be shown until 6 months so would think
that means up to a year. Junior 12/18? I'm sure some
one who knows for definate will answer soon

Puppy is 6 - 12 months, junior is 6 - 18 months but generally people only show dogs over 12 months in junior as any younger they would look too immature. Sometime people will show one in puppy and one in junior if they have 2 litter mates to show. There is also minor puppy which is 6 - 9 months.
