Poor old Juno, all her 'lady bits' are very swollen and she isn't 100% happy to have a wee.
Vet has been out (was coming out for another horse here so I got him to have a look) - I think its quite important that these things get checked as would hate her not to be able to have a wee. We had to put her into a stable ((she lives out 24/7)) and shake some new straw in to encourage the obvious!! Juno was a bit embaressd, but after doing hundreds of circles finally obliged - then proceeded to look like she was wearing a wet nappy.
Anyway, came to the conclusion that its not a tumour (phew) - I do know its a common place to have melanomas (sp?) but more likely to be a nasty bite, quite possibly a wasp! Ouch. (could also have been a horsefly - but I did point out there were 3 lumps in slightly different places, I guess anything is possible).
Vet gave her an anti imflamortory (spelling is so bad) jab, and some cream to put on it. We have to keep a really close eye for 24 hours, then fingers crossed should all be fine!!
So, Juno, under tail get better vibes please!! The old girl needs her dignity back.
