Whats the daftest thing your horse has ever done? My boy made himself jump, when he farted. He even tried to turn round to have a look what was behind him. Stupid or what.
I turned Hattie out the other day week and she started galloping around, bucking (you name it!). She did one little buck and then slipped, landed on her side. She looked a bit embarrassed for a moment and then started to roll as if to show us "she meant to slip" as she wanted a roll

LMAO!
Can't think of anything atm, laughing too much to think straight!
quite a few years ago, while I was 'dragging' my old TB Sunny (RIP may 5. 1987- aug 3 2005) to the field - I was not paying any attention. Suddenly the lead rope got tight and I was jerked backwards. The thing that I missed paying any attention to was a parked visiting horse box with its ramp down. AS we passed Sunny loaded himself and dragged me in too!
, scoffed loads of nettles while I was talking to the yard owner . I'm still not sure if horses feel the sting like humans , but he never tried it again .
He once got hold of my t-shirt and exposed me in my bra - thankfully there were no males about
PS - My dog use to surprise himself with his own farts when he was a pup , but now slinks off , leaving the stink behind !
If you give mine anything with a different taste to the normal apples or carrots he sticks his tongue out and sucks it so loud you can hear it round corner
the most scary thing we encounter on our hacks and normally at the same place and time....is his own shadow.......will go past lorries, tractors, cement lorries, hgv's dust carts but....own shadow causes slight concern
oh and pheasants....root of all evil!
His wind his so bad that I apologise on his behalf loudly when I go pass peoples gardens in case they think it might be me, in a jump off he gets a bit excited and can fart quite a lot which pleases the crowds.....
Horses & dogs can be so crafty . My horse disliked having his bridle put on & at 5' 2'' , I found it a struggle to reach his head which had ' grown ' giraffe like to the rafters .
I sent him to be schooled & would visit often . One day , I called out to the person schooling him that it was me coming through the gate , to which she replied ' Thought so , he threw his head up at the sound of your voice !'
I promise you , I never caught his teeth or anything else when putting his bridle on - he was trying it on .
I went to get him in from the field one muddy , autumn evening . To my surprise , my nervous of horses Mum came too . I landed up plastered in mud & flat on my face . Mum said I must have slipped , but when it happened again , she realised he was catching the top of my welly in his teeth to make me fall , then looking all innocent
Tehe your stories have been making me chuckle!
Anyway thought i should add!
A few weeks ago was out hacking, i came off the track and turned on to the road...(quite a busy road) anyway Ginger - Coughed and trumped at the same time then a bit of poo flew out and promptly landed on the windscreen of a bus as it was just about to overtake us!!! i couldnt stop laughing and laughed all the way back to the yard....getting v.funny looks from all pedestrians and car drivers at the girl riding a horse laughing to herself!!! Silly boy!
Oh you've all made me laugh out loud! I'm sitting at my desk at work chuckling away to myself, and getting some funny looks...
This wasn't my horse, but one I ride out with. He farted really loudly out on a ride, gave himself such a fright and bolted along the bridlepath! The rider thought someone was shooting at them!

haha the poo incident reminds me of when i was out riding my horse and he had mutant green froth all round his mouth as he had been eating grass he shook his head and a huge ball of it went flying towards a car with its window open and went straight through window onto driver!we set off at a fast trot all the way home!!!he had a habit of the green froth and wiped his head on a lady at a show all on back of her show shirt, she didint notice and saw her all day walking round with it!was mortified!
also my horse was dying for a wee and stopped on a mini roundabout right in the centre of town to have a wee and we held up all the traffic!

LMOA! I am crying with laughter at my work desk right now, good job I'm in a room on my own......
My novice OH was riding his mare in the schooling ring when they went near the muck-heap- which had started to smoke quite badly. Mare started to cough.....and farted at the same time so loud we all heard it on the yard......OH got off he was so concerned but we were all bent double by the trailers crying with laughter.......
I can only think of the daftest thing I ever did to a horse...
Was supposed to be borrowing a horse to take to mounted games. Came to lead him out of his stable to load him, and he wouldn't move. Ok, 15.3hh coloured cob... didn't want to move... me stood there holding the lead rope wondering why he wouldn't come as he's usually so well behaved...
Then friend pointed out that I'd left the chain up on the stable door
So horsey was being VERY well behaved by not demolishing his stable xD
The second funny part to that may be the idea of doing mounted games on a 15'3 cob
Considering that I was about 4'6 and was STILL expected to dismount and remount on my own!!
I was riding Mazzie (RIP) out and we went over the motorway bridge for the first time. Bless her she was good as gold over the motorway, so when we got to the other side I gave her a pat. Daft horse jumped a MILE and did a little bunny rear! She'd been off in her own little world and hadn't even noticed the bridge!
