Sorry, I know these aren't popular but I just wondered what my pony was worth in the current climate.

14hh, 9yr old pure-bred, imported passported Hafflinger. Very pretty, light weight hafflinger - not chunky. Beautiful, elevated paces. all round very smart looking pony.

A dream to handle. Lovely to clip, shoe, rasp teeth, vaccinate, back check etc. Could be handled by a child and would never dream of getting rude or pushy. Anxious to please at all times. Everyone who handles him falls in love with him.

Slow to load as had a nasty trailer experience (got both feet stuck between the ramp and the trailer when backing out and stood like a rock for 90mins whilst we grinded the hinges of the ramp). He has loaded several time since but does need a few minutes to think about it. Once in is fine and relaxed. To be honest after what happened to him, I thought he would never load again but he is so keen to please!

Can sometimes be problamatic to catch but is fine if you have a headcollar on him and a scoop of nuts.

Very loving and sweet natured boy.

To ride: Three good established paces and basic lateral work. he has NEVER reared, bucked or bolted although he can be sharp and occasionally spooky. Ridden off seat and leg (rather than hand) he is more relaxed. I've been working on teaching him to stretch down and he is starting to work in a nice outline now. He is snaffled mouthed and ridden without a noseband. He is, however, a whizzy pony. He gets rushy and upset with an unbalanced rider - this is only really a problem if he spooks and you lose your balance as this frightens him. However, he isn't dangerous, he just shoots forward for a couple of strides which might unnerve a novice.

SUPER jumping pony, has cleared 1.10m with me and jumped double clears at 2.9 SJ. LOVES showjumping and does it all at 90mph! NEVER stops. Has done a bit of basic XC with me but just logs and stuff as I don't have transport to a decent course. Goes through water etc, he's sometimes has a look at new things but doesn't stop. Feel confident he would love XC.

Lovely to hack, goes along on the buckle. We go for canters and gallops on a long rein. Will hop over logs, scramble up banks, slide down slopes etc - you can jump on and off, no problem. Occasionally a little jumpy with heavy traffic coming from behind but does no more than tense up and get a bit joggy. Fine with oncoming traffic.

I hunted him last season, including doing a little bit of jumping. He LOVED it and did everything I asked. He got a bit impatient at the standing around but nothing more than a bit of wriggling.

Lives in or out, doesn't need hard feed (although loves it LOL). Currently barefoot but has been shod. Holding up to barefoot really well.f.

He's not a first pony by any means. He is sharp and can spook quite quickly and he does get worried if you lose your balance and bounce around on him (!). But for a quite, balanced rider who wanted to do a bit of riding club/unaffiliated ODE or SJ or even dressage with continued work he would be PERFECT. He is a real mummy's boy as well.

What do you think?
