So haven't posted about Guinness or what we've been upto in ages so thought i'd give you all a little update.
Had a really good summer competing, did A LOT of dressage, did some SJ and a hunter trial. He was fab and we hardly ever came home without a rosette.
Over the winter so far we have done a lot more dressage with our last outing being on Saturday. We did the prelim and the novice. He was an absolute superstar, there was a lot of competition (good competition!!)
We came 4th in the prelim with 64.90% and 3rd in the Novice with 62.50% so I was very pleased with coblet.
His schooling has come on so much in the past few months and he now works consistently in an outline in all gaits, is a lot more balanced and off the forehand and works through from behind A LOT more! We still need to work on that as I want to get him to the stage where everytime I ride he is working well from behind.
So, plan to do a lot more dressage over the next year and see what his limit is! Will probably do a bit of SJ and XC too but I think dressage is something I really want to concentrate on!
Loading is still an issue unfortunately so that is something we are working on. His weight this winter has been 10 x better than last winter and so far *touches wood* I've managed to keep it fairly at bay and at the moment he's an okay weight! Just pray no more snow for a while.
Well that's it anyway, just thought I'd give an update
Hope you've all had a good year so far and a good 2011!
