but OMG how fast does it go! - Sure when I was a kid and not a teacher holidays lasted forever

So the only thing keeping me going this week through 5 staff training days was finding out when my half-term is and when we break up for Christmas!
Armed with the dates of freedom I have scoured BD and...
Yep you have guessed it there is nothing on mid week during half-term in our area!
Even established venues that usually run a Friday show are running a Saturday show and I just wondered why?
Any thoughts gratefully received...

Can't help but we have the opposite most of the big centres (well 2 of them) are running midweek shows and not weekend shows at the moment which is useless to me, there are only so many days I can take off work.

Know the feeling!!!! Its because the pony club mummies ride their kiddies ponies in dressage comps while they are at boarding school and they cant do anything dangerous so do dressage to keep ponies fit!!!!!

I would LOVE to have 6 weeks off in a row. Only chance of that now is being off sick or retirement!!!

I know I chose the wrong career!!

Due to "building changes and system changeover" Ours are not back until Monday.
Instead I have been enduring 5, yes 5 INSET days! Haven't even been given a confirmed class list yet!
Glad yours seem OK, I will let you know on Monday just how bad it was

It does sound good doesn't it! BUT...

Just before our 6 weeks holiday me and the rest of our departent were having nervous breakdowns over coursework which was returned to be re-marked and stressing over GCSE exams so its swings and roundabouts!
