Hi everyone!
I still don't have any internet, it's getting stupid now! Just thought i'd let everyone know how we're getting on, well only if you really want to know
Well after having the most fabulous time with Lozz_xx (has she changed her name yet??) and mudsplasher (and meeting KandM), i came home to a very lively orange monster!!! Mum had been riding him whimst i was away but he had to have a week off before that because i had a slight crack in my sternum - YOUCH!! should be more careful when playing rugby
LOL at least we qualified
The weekend after i got back i bought a rat
I know exciting but just wait....
School, getting home at 6 most nights, darker evenings and riding is always going to be hard, but somhow we ar managing and Hemir is being ridden 6 times a week
We had our 2nd competition on 9th November and in the 1ft6 clear round came 5th out of 14, went clear but there were faster ponies that beat us
I just wanted to go clear, and considering there were fillers at every fence i was very pleased.... he was showing off in the warm up and going so nicely
Had a few comments on how sexy he looked and how nice he was
Oh if they only knew
The afternoon class was a bit more interesting, 3ft class, we had one refusal ( at fence one!), then went clear
the mistake was all my fault, i miss judged the stride and completly messed him up - oops, we went pretty fast round the course as well
I think we came about 15th out of 40 though, so not too bad considering 6 months ago we were having nightmares with fillers
Last tuesday I got back home, went to get changed to ride, and heard this tiny squeaking sound coming from my rats cage.... looked in and saw what i thought was about 10 babies.... counted them this weekend and there are more like 15 of them!!!! So I bought one, and have no ended up with loads of them, thank goodness dad is coming home this weekend so he can build a new rat cage
I know some people don't like rats but i grew up with them, so they are like cats or dogs too me!!!
The babies are sooo cute though
My lesson has been changed to a sunday afternoon - so much easier! And last sunday, someone else rode Hemir and i rode a 13.&hh ish connemara who is absolutly gorgeous! havign not ridden anything so small and quick for a LONG time it was a bit of a change but RI was really pleased and said we looked really good together
Hemir really behaved himself once the girl pushed the right buttons...and i get the feeling she wants to ride him again, and so does the rest of my lesson so it looks like i will be riding different horses
RI was saying that H is the perfect horse to see all your weaknesses on as if you don' t do something exactly right he'll either not do it or warn you by beign a tad silly
I do love that horse!!
And last but not least, this weekend we have another competition, XC in the morning, and SJ in the afternoon.... so fingers crossed everything goes well
I really couldn't be happier, and despite his bad moments Hemir really is turning into a little superstar
I just needed the right I qnd the right mental state to find it
Hope everyone is ok, and that all your horses are doing well, despite it being difficult at the moment!
Oh I almost forgot to update on my baby boy
He's doing really well! Can, at last, pick all 4 feet out without any problems, he had a rug on for the first time a few weeks ago, and couldn't have cared less... I have tried to annoy him with as many things as possible but he doesn't budge
still waiting to get an x-ray done, but he's getting bored, so might try and start long reining him before that!! He has too much baby energy!!!!
ok, really got to go now!! Have to organise the english lesson i'm doing for some french kiddies
they are only 3 and 4 and their mum is my spanish teacher
byeeeeee xxxxx
hope to be back on soon as i miss everyones updates on their horses, i'm so out of touch
