I haven't been around for a while as I am due to hand my thesis in in 4 weeks time so writing like a demon and so swore myself off here until it is finished!

Anyway, some of you may remember I went for a job in February and they have just offered it to me! Yay!

The job is in Abingdon and I need to move somewhere half way between Oxford and Hertford (as OH will be working there).
So Springy is on the move, does anyone live in Amersham, Aylesbury or High Wycombe areas? I am looking for a yard that does DIY/part livery and is not too extortionate! I need all year turnout and a school. Good hacking would be ideal and would quite like individual or small group turnout. Please can people give me any ideas/names of yards? I may not move her till May time and definitely won't be before the middle of April.

Thank-you!

congratulations on the job, near High Wycombe is Widmere Equestrian centre. It has indoor, outdoor school, horse walker, hacking ( don't have to go on roads), turnout and there is staff that live on site, and american Barn stabling. It has a tack shop on site, which sells bedding and feed.
We had a look round it couple of years ago when we were moving to the area.

hello - you should put up a post with 'livery in xxxx areas' in the title as i know there are quite a few from around there on here they just might not have seen your post.
(its very exciting :> - but sad :< at the same time!!)

Hello, nice to see you back. I can offer absolutely no help on the livery front, but just wanted to say Congratulations on the job

Oh CONGRATS Lucy!

I am only about 25mins from Abingdon, so if you ever want to do lunch let me know! We can get Sunflower out with us too as she lives in Abingdon!

CONGRATULATIONS! Yay, really pleased for you. We'll definitely have to meet up when you start! Good luck with thesis - haven't been around here much recently either for the same reason. No idea about anything useful re livery yards though - sorry!

San Diego was great, I had a lovely time. I d get your PM but only having fleeting visits at the moment due to the thesis writing. The interview went really well (obviously! Lol!) and it looks like a great place to work.

I always support Cambridge in the boat race so not sure how I'll cope with having to cheer on the enemy!

Thanks

Sorry about missing you on the day of the interview but with the snow and having to get home to pack for the conference I ended up running around like a loony that day! I make it a mission to meet up with you once I have moved. Oooh you'll be close enough to come and clean my tack now too and ride the elephant (who has had a reprieve from the bbq!

)

I hope your thesis writing is going ok, personally I can't wait to get the bloomin thing finished!

Thanks weezy, I thought there were a few oxon peeps around. Do you know of any liveries around Abingdon as if pushed I can move her there if it is on a good reccommendation.

Lunch sounds fun, starting a new job in a new place with new people sounds pretty terrifying so talking "horses" with someone over lunch would be great

Ah thanks. Its been pretty hard to stay away from here to be honest, but I am not reading other posts as I'll never get handed in on time! Lol!

No worries - just glad it went well. When do you start? We will definitely have to have lunch - I could show you round Abingdon or we could go somewhere nice

Will also hold you to meeting Spring (glad she's not going to be spit-roasted anymore)
