I used to got to stow fair years ago it was then moved to Andoversford i think. Is it back in stow these days and does it still have thepoor little youngsters for sale?
Absolutely no idea, I never go and I know nothing about it except that crime increases in the area at the time-signs are up for the fair and a few caravans have already appeared, fair due to start Wednesday.
Yep, Ive started being less lazy about locking my gates up and making sure nothing is in sight. tbh i have no where secure to store stuff at my yard. However i spent the last few months providing water to a popular gypsy guy and his family who moved his ponies right by me. They were lovely and always polite so am hoping that old phrase "they dont sh** on their own doorstep!" applies!
We have moved our trailer away though and locked it in doors.
Anyone going? I always like to go for a wander, last year i can honestly say the condition of nearly every horse i saw was very good. I did pass a slightly dubious looking pony this morning though being driven through Stow.
Stowe Fair was never moved to Andoversford it always kept going Andoversford was extra.I used to go to both regularly now I just go to Stowe but doing double shifts mucking out AGAIN this week so can't make it
Ive never been and have no intention to. Our security is always top notch anyway but yes, I am ensuring all doors are shut at the yard even when I'm there and doing the other usual things!
But all our horses are freezemarked, our tack is kept off site, and everything is marked, so I shan't worry too much. x
I believe Andoversford was actually very good? I mean normal horse owners could go and find a bargain. Stow only really sells very old rough looking driving stuff as far as ive seen.
