Just as you were beginning to get used to the Tretorn riding boots...

Looks like an acid-induced vision of an all ariat cross between grasmere and bromont.

Whatever the designer was on I want some.

I would wear them - they are means to be amazingly comfortable and give great grip. But for close to £400 I would get the Konig Marcus boots instead. In brown. (Not that I have spent any time thinking of these boots, you understand...)

I don't see anything wrong with a little modernity and better technology in riding wear.

I cant quite get my head round them, not minding the old style ones but there abit much.
I prob have no taste as i really quite like these

I actually prefer them to the original ones. At least they look like the right shape, rather than the old ones with the turn over bit!

De Niro have some rather funky designs too

I kind of like them actually, although I wouldnt want to wear them at competitions though, I prefer the traditional style boot but I'd like to wear them for everday riding in

I also prefer them to the old ones Ifield. I was looking at those Brogini boots the other day Vam, and I don't like them at all, purely because it seems like all those grey bits are just there for decoration, not function. At least with the Tretorn boots every strange design detail is there for a reason.

£450 boots just for everyday riding, Kenzo? What DO you do for a living?

LOL I'm still buying lottery tickets put it that way!

I mean due to the look of them (regardless of price) I'd rather wear them for everday riding in, as they look more casual, I'm more old fashioned and prefer the traditional style of boot for comps.

I see what your saying as i said i have no taste but while i think its great that boots are being designed for the rider in mind every now and again its nice to have something thats style over substance.

That said if the had the spare money i wouldnt buy either of them and get the same boots i have now, sarm hippique, plain long boots.

I think they'd look better with black laces but then I guess that takes away from the originality. They look more functional than the originals but I still don't like them

Ooops... I quite like them.

I think they look very comfy, and comfy is always my priority. For that price though, well you can buy a lot of hay for £400!

I prefer them to the originals and think they look as if they would be very comfortable especially if you wear boots all day and ride several horses.

Am another who prefers more traditional in the ring though. No chance of me ever having a pair of them though as they dont make them to fit short fat legs - even if I was prepared to pay £500 for boots to wear at home!

when i first saw the original ones i thought they were the most disgusting things i had ever seen!! however, having now read about them and seeing them more and more often, i have grown to think they are ok, even a little bit nice! :O saying that though, i didnt like the look of them on people with slightlier chubbier legs :P but for the skinny minnies they looked half nice!!
i dont like the new ones though, maybe if the laces were the same colour as the boot id like them better than the originals, but not that colour!
regardless of wether i like them or not, i dont have that much money to spend on a pair of boots!! :P:)

I really really want a pair of the originals in brown but am not keen on these. Don't like the laces & they look a bit 'busy' for my taste. It's getting to the point where I could just compete in my Ariat Grassmeres & claim they were a 'modern style'.
