Just discovered a new bit!

Bought this bit from someone on here. I had not heard of it before so after doing a little research, I thought id give it a go. I was having issues with my boy being quite tense through his neck and back and being very fussy with his mouth. he has always rushed particually in trot and ive always had a job to steady him and found him strong, he was in a thich mouth lozenge pelham, which I could stop him in but he backed off it a little by going overbent.

I got the impression that he didnt like tongue pressure as I tried a myler comfort in him and he was even more fussy. So.....

tried the rockin s ported snaffle, couldnt believe the difference, much less fussing and was not tense and no rushing!!! Yes he was quite strong in the bit but I think much of it is balance/schooling issues. Id never have thought he would go so well in it. Got some funny looks at the yard as it is quite 'unconventional' looking! Anyone else tried one with success?

I see what you mean about it looking strange!! However if it works don't knock it! Hope it continues to work and as he settles, he gets even better. My horse was terrible until we found his Myler. good luck!
