Even if I do say so myself!
Got the idea from JenHunt on this forum - and wanted others to consider it too!
Something that lasts longer than the festive season and we all should be extremely grateful for!

http://www.tvacaa.org/ - its so easy to do - Paypal even!
Other areas services available on web (this one is for my guys!)

Cracking Job they do!

Merry Christmas to all - Stay safe (and warm!)

Yup :D Grand idea :D

My neds aren't getting 'presents' - the money is going to the BHS.

My extended family, who I rarely see, who are all comfortably off and who are not struggling financially, are all getting toilets/Water Aid gift thingies :D

for the last 6 yrs i have donated £10 to nspcc and £10 to horse charity in lieu of cards - my work coleagues get a mail wishing them a merry xmas etc and that i have donated to . . . . . ... my friends know i do it and get a txt wishing them a merry xmas - i have bought 3 cards this yr for my mother my daughter and my fella - to every one else merry christmas and all the best for 2011 - lots of friends do this now to :)

My mum donates to marie curie every year instead of giving xmas cards out which i think is a great idea.

She says cards are a waste of time people look at them then throw them in the bin the money which would be spent on cards is much better appriciated by the charities

Brilliant idea!

We had the air ambulance out 3 times on saturday as the weather was that bad that the road south was closed - the chopper one though as the airport was shut too. They had to land in Tescos car park as nowhere else was big enough to park one lol They have been a life saver up here as we only have one road out and we are 120 miles from the nearest city hospital and about 170 miles from the nearest major hospital. They saved 3 lives on Friday :) :) :)

Great idea :)

We donate to charity at work instead of sending cards to colleagues and donate to charity in lieu of presents for most of our relatives.

yay!! glad I could be of some inspiration/help/use to someone! :D

I figure, that in the long run, £20 or so to a charity like the air ambulance is going to do someone I know and care about much more good than a piece of card with a snowman on it! Plus, of course there's always the environmental impact, the possibility of it getting lost/hopelessly delayed in the post due to the weather (H&H's excuse for my missing 5 copies!!), the lack of correct or up to date addresses for one's friends and the dreaded post office que when you come to get the stamps!!!
