Just done my B & E test, knew i'd failed but had to carry on. Our test centre makes you do the reversing first but they area you do the manouvres in is also the right of way for the other centre users so they all just have to sit there waiting for you to complete which made me to nervous and I cocked up.

I failed because i pulled forward 3 times and yuor only allowed 2, really pi$$ed off with myself, mainly cos after spending £304 on lessons and then £115 on the test i cant afford to do it again!

Would have passed if i'd not got so bloody nervous!

aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrhggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh!

Oh no poor you! Doesnt sound like it was made easy for you, with all those people watching I would have bummed it as well.
Fingers crossed you have better luck next time

oh bum, sorry to hear that, the annoying thing is, its not just the failing (we can can fail and then pass an hour later), it's the costs and entering and all that business, don't beat yourself up about it though, you'll pass next time.

Oh thats a shame, I agree its the money side that makes it worse!

I did 2 days training for my B+E last week, was meant to sit test on the 3rd day, but I stupidly couldnt find my counterpart driving licence and they wouldnt let me sit the test!!!

So iv lost the £115 test fee. Will have to stump up £115 again and also some money for a couple hours tuition before the test!

instructor said I would have passed it no problem too!!

Argh!!! I feel for you too!!

Really feel for you. Its HORRIBLE doing that test. I passed on the 3rd time! I found it absolutely terrifying even though I was perfectly confident towing (my instructor couldnt figure out why I kept failing!). Its just the test situation which makes me fall apart. I only passed on the 3rd occasion as I didn't tell anyone I was doing it except my boyfriend so there wasn't nearly as much pressure.

Save up and you'll pass it the next time.

ah rubbish, I had was really nervous during my reverse too, my left leg got a mega shake- ended up with trailer starting to go round in a circle, managed to pull right forwards and practically start again and was ok.

I do think the BE tests are a good idea though, its just the money

failed mine on the reverse too. jack-knifed it coz i got obsessed with looking at the cone and not the trailer coz so nervous. never had a problem when i was practising. then was so worked up got 2 more major fails on the road drive. passed fine 2nd time - only 2 minors in whole test. nerves are horrid!

Thank you all for your replies. I've had chance to calm down a bit now and i've decided to try again when i can afford it and if i dont pass then i'll forget it!

Like you say its nerves, in any other scenario you would have a stiff drink before hand but unless i want to fail and get done for drink driving thats out the question!
