Has your vet diagnosed these problems? You will need some formal confirmation that this issue was preexisting I would expect. The opinion of a back person would be worthless in this issue and if you've had him treated without a vet referral then you've potentially ruined any chance you have of making a claim, so it's really important to know. What did the vet say?
