Thank you :)

Blond fluffy lurcher was Macallan, the fawn lurcher (pics one and two) was Talisker, brindle greyhound was Jura and the black greyhound was Port Ellen (you may notice a theme!)

Then Islay came along (black), Flick (aka The Small White One), Amy (also black), Hoover (my gorgeous big fawn boy) and Millie the mad little brindle lurcher!

Macallan looks a handy sort! Love the pic of the 4 off lead in the woods, all cosy in their coats 😍

lovely dogs, are they blizzard coats? they look like the one i had for my old lurcher, sadly gone and i donated her coats to a local rescue centre as i couldnt bear to keep seeing them.

Yes they are Blizzard coats - I’m the same about the green coloured ones, Jura had one and I hated seeing them for years after I lost her. Mind you I alsoremember seeing a brindle greyhound in town a couple of years after I lost Jura & I cried!

That is a beautiful picture splash girl :) :)

thankyou, its been 2 years and i still miss her, her blizzard coat was royal blue so gave me a bit of a jolt seeing it on your fawn one....... i couldnt bear to get another long dog so got the opposite a small terrier mix who is completely different and a lovely boy. i have now been tempted by a fawn whippet lurcher bitch who is advertised on lurcher sos, she so looks like my old girl. i must be strong!!!!!!!

Thank you Levrier, absolutely wonderful photos! I've always had a thing for rough coated lurchers so I think Macallan is an absolute beauty! The greys all look so healthy too, love the sheen on the black ones. I'm jealous of you being able to let them all off-lead in the woods too, mine isn't that trustworthy sadly! :D

Sorry about your lurcher, splashgirl - that photo of her on the couch is just beautiful x

LOL Macallan was stunning to look at - and sadly also as thick as two short planks :D :D :D

He came from a working home in Gloucester, the bitch was looked just like him and the sire was a grey sheepdog lurcher type. The puppies were just like the ones in 'Lady and the Tramp' as half of them looked just like dad and half of them were just like mum - no variations in between :)
