Earlier this year, some new people moved on to the empty field next to me. They have 2 dogs, the most beautiful German Shephard, and a staffy type. Luna has become firm friends with both. Obviously I am biased, but my girl is gorgeous 🤣, and I can’t help but think what beautiful puppies her and the GSD would have made. I believe Husky/GSD is quite a common mix. I mentioned it to his owner and said we’d had her spayed a few weeks before (no intention ever of breeding), and she agreed with me and said he’d been neutered, as it turned out, around the same time.

Any one else with one sex or other ever look at the opposite and think what if?

Yes, when we had woolfie (blue Merle border collie) we used to walk her with my friends blue & white whippet, and always said what beautiful pups they would have had!

Yep. Daisy's best friend is Jack (Shitsu). They'd have had beautiful babies, and they'd have been Shiton's 🤣🤣

Ha, brilliant! 😆

There's a malamute x white gsd at the yard, she's gorgeous, huge, fluffy.

A mate has a l/w springer bitch who reminds me of Bear, huge head, very spotty muzzle. They'd have gorgeous babies, but Bear is neutered! He just has a fabulous head and an am amazing temperament, unlike his werewolf brother! (Paw injury from some years ago, repeated damage to the dew claw)

I'm looking for a GSD pup at the moment, and I'm constantly looking at my boy and thinking 'what if I'd just bred a pure GSD from him - it would have been so much easier' - which is an idle ponder, as he hasn't won any awards and isn't health tested therefore doesn't meet the criteria I have imposed on myself for finding a puppy - the same criteria which so far have prevented us actually finding a suitable puppy. Head/desk.
