Having formally ordered my next puppy I now get to start thinking of names. The litter will be Thi or Ti, she will be female. (Labrador). I like bird or animal names. I know she doesn't have to be called by her registered name but it is nice if possible.
There is no rush here, bitch isn't even pregnant yet!!
She will be a half sister to my current bitch, Tawny, so preferably not a name that sounds the same, although we usually call Tawny 'Pong', thanks to the evolution of nicknames.

Thisbe - Shakespearean very apt this year
Thistle
Tiva - my lovely girls name it means "dance" in Hopi Indian

Thistle and Tilly are no gos for me as my m-in-law has two borders called just that. Might work for breeder though.
I love Thisbe. And Tiva. And Tia! I thought of 'Tithe' and 'Tilty' (Tilty is the name of a village near here).
M-in-law has a book of hound names, I might flick through that.
Thisbe current favourite.
Thistle - breeder is not sure if litter will be this year or next, as if the bitch cycles late she will be heading towards the shooting season and work comes first. I am in no rush so it doesn't bother me but you may want one sooner.
Thank you very much people.

I'm keeping my options open. Goldie breeder will probably try again, of will get the daughter of the original bitch hip scored and use her if she is suitable. She is a genetic full sister to the mating that failed so would obviously have to use a different sire. Hopefully still ginger though.

Her brother and son both want a pup so hopefully will happen. The 3 bitches they own were all in season early Jan so only a month or so until I have some idea of what's happening.

Good list there BC, Tinder is good. And Tissot - I pronounce that Tissoe, what is correct TissoT or Tissoe?
