I have a friend who is a racehorse breeder and trainer, and whenever I could do with a hand or advice on something I ring him and he gives me some mad tip.. but fair play it always seems to work despite it sounding ridiculous to 21y.o me!

But got me thinking, are there any funny things you swear by or tips you have when feeding/ grooming/ riding anything, or even any old wives tales??
