What do you think about my pony:
13hh Gelding
5 years old
Piebald Traditional cob
Nice temperament although can occasionally be strong.
Can get wound up by other horses
Coloured mane and tail...
do you think i get away with showing him poss next year??
if so locally with view to regionals or just for fun?

No reason why you shouldn't providing you put in the work. Is he dangerous when he gets wound up around other horses i.e. kicking, rearing etc. or does he just get excited, snorting, jogging etc?

If he is dangerous I would think twice and get professional help but if it's just excitement through inexperience then try and get him out and about with other horses as much as possible. I don't know how old you are, I'm guessing under 21 if he is only 13hh, but could you join the local Pony Club or the Local Riding Club if they have a Junior section? Explain the problems you may have in company and I'm sure they will try and help if they can.

You could try in-hand cloloured classes to begin with at your local shows next year and go from there.

Answer 1: look at my avatar, the ickle piebald one. (he is a youngster, about 18 odd months old in this photo). aaaahhh!!
Answer 2: Nah he just really winds himself up... he properly sweats up, squeals whinnies, jogs and snorts hes okay after a while, but for the first ten to fifteen minutes hes a pain in the arse, and just cannot concerntrate on what hes doing. (understandably)
