The theme tune to Black Beauty still gets me whenever I hear it - it takes me back to my horse-obsessed youth!
And I sing the "White Horses" theme when I'm hacking my spanish girls out. How sad am I?

National Velvet. The film that got me into horses in the first place. 
I practically know it word for word because I watched it so much when I was little. I hope someone is showing it over the weekend. Would make my Grand National experience complete!!

Velvet: All the time about horses. All day and every night. I should like to ride, I should like to hunt, to ride to hounds. I'd like to have so many horses that i can walk down between the loose boxes and ride one I choose. Every day I pray to God to give me horses, wonderful horses. I want to be the best rider in England.

thought there might have been a bigger response to this! lol. My own favourites are Heavy Horses, by Jethro Tull, the words make the hairs on my neck stand up.
Fave film is Black Beauty, could still watch it every day.

No idea who sang it, anybody else remember it. I hum it sometimes riding out, feeling chilled. There is more but I can't remember .Lol.
