Just spent the last two weeks back in Hospital this time with an e coli infection which then went to septicemia horrid, but escaped a couple of days ago Thank God.

Went straight to see my girl and as soon as I see that little black face smiling at me and a little whicker it makes everything else fade in the back ground. After spending so much time in Hospitals over the last few years Ebony welcomes me back everytime with no questions asked bless her, horses should be on the NHS because they really do help you to feel better and aid recovery every time.

We went for a ride which was great we pushed ourselves and went somewhere different and we took the lead so she had to be brave for both of us, went into a big field and went round in front and even had a little trot nothing much for most people but HUGE for us well Me should say, came out crossed road and walked down a stubble field again big step forward for me. In fact the whole ride was out of my comfort zone, but we did it and really enjoyed it.

Next day went mad and had a lesson thought felt better so lets make up for the lost two weeks, and yes that was FAB as well, we are now doing alot more and it really is coming together now, and my instructor says that we are now so much better, we can now trot 20 m cirlcles, figures of eight, and so much more and for a change I am feeling happy with my self and thinking that at last we are getting somewhere, and yes I am proud of what we have done those of you who know me and my story with Ebony now that Proud and Feeling Good do not really ever go in the same sentance, but yes did say it and really do mean it, so happy post from me, and the big black bear.

Have another lesson booked for Saturday and we hope to start to do some canter work (Big Grin) can not wait, have asked my friend to video us, so I will be able to see if I have improved or not lol.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, just wanted to share some good news :) :)

Horses on the NHS - Love it, I'd vote for the government who had that in their manifesto!

Glad you are feeling better, sounds a horrible hospital visit with all that going on. Especially pleased you have come back to have such fun with your girl.

I wondered where you had got to:) I'm very pleased to hear you are feeling better. It's amazing how just spending time with horses can lift even the lowest of spirits.
I do find your posts inspirational. Every time I find myself being a total wimpy horse riding a**e, I think of how much you continue to achieve, and give myself a good talking to:):)

Horses are definitely the best healers and it's great that you're feeling better.

Watch you don't overdo it mind, that sounded like a nasty combo of illnesses and with all this excitement you don't want to get ill again!

(Sorry, I'll take off my Mother hat now :p )
