I haven't ridden since Christmas and was getting so down about it so my other half made me book a lesson and I'm so glad! I rode a horse I used to ride and have great difficulty with because she is very challenging and I had a new instructor and it made the world of difference! I still struggled but she taught me to ride in a whole new way and showed me how to ride with my body soft. Apparently she is really highly qualified and she has such a good attitude. I'm thrilled to bits and I'm going every fortnight which is all I can manage time and money wise at present. And I've chosen to ride the same mare next time because I now feel I will have the knowlegde to finally suss her out!

Can't wait. But God how saddle sore I am going to be ALL week! She is massive for me!

That’s brilliant! I’m really pleased you had such a good lesson!

Thanks! I think it was what I needed to restore some enthusiasm for life after the drudgery of a 7 day week!!

Yes I know what you mean. I’m getting this whole nervous-excitement feeling at the moment for my lessons, it’s great to get that feeling back, i lost it a bit with my last horse.

I was quite terrified today!! I hadn't had a lesson for nearly a year because I got tied up with my foal last year and never got back into lessons. And here I was faced with a new instructor, with a horsey student in the arena schooling a horse, riding a horse that I always found challenging! Gulp. We did have a few acrobatics but that's just her reminding us that she is female and she does have opinions on what we should be doing, thank you very much...!
