From a very reliable source that a friend of hers who keeps horse in Stapenhill has had all his tack stolen last night and both of his horses have gone also.

I know this at the moment is unproven, but my friend had spoken to this person directly and isn't the type to scaremonger.

Just thought I would let you all know.

As said, at the top of this forum, please dont post if you have heard, only if you KNOW, I know its hard for all of us! but please, at the minute lots of people are scaremongering, and I think the posts that are posted need to be for definite, so people know where these guys, if they exist are.
Don't mean to cause offense, not calling u a liar.

I can confirm that 2 horse have been stolen/ missing along with his show tack and every day tack.As to wether these horse have been stolen by the alleged people as listed on these posts I don't know it may well not be connected .

I didn't mean to scaremonger anyone and if I hadn't heard it directly from my friend who I trust totally, I wouldn't have posted on here.

I heard this today about Stapenhill Burton, but I heard that the tack was taken, but someone saw them trying to get the horses and wouldn`t let them take them. So they left with just the tack. Friend has been on to the police tonight and she said that they can confirm this is true.
My friend called the police 2 days ago and they are watching our area for the vehicles mentioned and keeping vigilant about the whole ordeal. The other `European` men havent been taking tack, so I wouldnt think that it is the same people but possibly someone jumping on the band wagon, but that is just my opinion.

We had £22,000 worth of tack stolen off our yard not so long ago ago. which was reported to the police.. no horses were taken thankfully. But it does make you worry though after all these rumors have been floating about. Though I do think its been blown out of proportion slightly.. Since then though we've had ccvt and alarms fitted, all horses chipped aswell. Even if it is just a hoax, better to be safe than sorry!
