Had an email from Robinsons the other day saying they had wintec/bates reps in store today to tell people about their new saddle fittin systems etc. but also they were offering free saddle checks on any wintec or bates saddles
So off I pop with my 2 wintec 2000s. One I've had for 11 yrs for my mare the other was given to me by the owners of a horse I'd had on loan! That went to be retired.
So they done the checks and changed the old screws etc and when they looked at the free saddle they found it to have a broken tree. This saddle was going to be the one I used to back my 3 yr old with then I was planning on gettin a leather one once he'd filled out
Luckily I've only put it on him and not actually ridden in it but can't imagine what damage might have been done had i not had it checked
Also I was going to get a saddle fitter out before actually using it. So it's saved me a few pounds and at least now I have an idea of how much a replacement is going to be
