My friend is training in Equine Touch, and had a look at my mare for me as one of her case studies.

Fizz is generally a very grumpy old madam at the moment, esp. when having girth/rugs done up, isn't stepping under currently with her offside hind in canter, and has never worked well on the left rein, she just will not flex to the right.

My friend has just spent about 40 minutes with her, and the difference by the end of the session was just incredible. She went from evil, tail swishing devil mare at the start of the session, to happy, relaxed, very sleep Fizz at the end. When I put her rugs back on, guess what, head and face relaxed and calm, no ears back or trying to bite - flippin' marvellous!

Whether it continues on remains to be seen, but very impressive. Anyone else tried Equine Touch?

Depends where you are, but she is not completely qualified yet, so don't know if she can do everyone.

Check out the website The Equine Touch UK as they have practitioners all over the country.

I am sooooo tempted to do the training now

MissMoo, I'm uber jealous of you both being able to do it, the more I think about it, the more I'm trying to save money in my head and start training. It is just sooooo amazing!

I've recently had three sessions of equine touch on my horse and I really can't praise it enough. I was a case study too and just went in with a very sceptical viewpoint that all it would be was a nice massage for my horse.

How wrong I was!

Following the first treatment I had a different horse. More forward going, keener to jump, canter work much improved and most surprisingly of all my horse really struggled with his right canter been working on it for years. Following his treatment we get right canter everytime he is asked. I really couldn't praise it enough and I've even arranged a demo for my riding club in the summer!

FBB - go for it!! It really is worth it, even if you don't go the practitioner route its lovely to be able to help your own horses.

p.s love your siggie btw!

That was my theory, it would be great just for Fizz, but I have always wanted to be a "back lady", but only in something that I believe works, and this seems to be just that.

And thanks for the comment on the sig, I do love my girl to bits.
