I've just spent 2 hours in the field trying to free a horse who was trapped under some post and rail fencing.
I heard some banging out in the filed so looked out the bedroom window. I thought Otto was alittle close to the fence so looked abit harder and thought something was wrong. I rushed down stares and out into the fields to find he had managed to get himself stuck under the fence.
I ran upto the yard and got some lungelines and tried to pull him over. Typacly I'm home alown
. I struggled he's quite a big horse and was trapped under the fence. So I ran next door to see if the neighbers could come and give me a hand. They were out but there son said they were due back any minuet and he called them and they said they would come streight over when they got back. I went back to the horse and sat comforting him to stop him from panicing. I was sat there for ages. It felt like forever. So I desided to have another go on my own. Just as the neighbers arrived I had managed to pull him out from the fence just enough that he managed to get himself up.
I checked him over and appart from a few scrapes and being very shaken up he's ok. So I put him in his stable with some hay to calm down.
Poor horse i'm so glad I was home and was able to help him. But now my back is killing me from pulling him up. I don't know where I found the strength from to be honest.
