Ignore if unhelpful, but your latest pic shows a foot which, from the angle of top half inch, would benefit greatly from a few months out of shoes, and the whole hoof suggests there are some diet related stresses going on.

Thank you and I take this on board, I think she has had a lot of stress going on since the operation! She is and has been since i got her fed on hay, equimins AC/micronised linseed (minimal)/grass nuts(soaked) and grass chaff plus salt/mag ox. I would love to take her shoes off but for the near future I do think she needs the support whilst the crack grows out. This will be reviewed though. I very much appreciate your input.

The crack created an very unstable heal (the lameness and infection) which turned into a, very badly, sheared heal, this has improved hugely over the last shoeing. Possibly is showing up in the top half inch?

Top half inch suggests the shoe is making the foot grow at a different angle than it should be. If it doesn't change soon, I would want the shoes off.

?. Reminds me of years ago. One of the pony liveries was being ridden in a stubble behind the yard. There was a ploughed strip around the edge. The owner rode the pony over the stubble and she trod on a metal blade hidden under the surface. I saw it happen. It sliced through her hoof like a carving knife in about the same spot as the crack in the last photo. Sliced almost up to the coronet band. The vet came out and with a small hacksaw cut the whole end of her hoof off. It grew back as if nothing had happened.

By "change soon" I actually mean "continue to grow down at the new angle".
