I went out hacking yesterday at the riding school where my daughter is learning to ride. As I got there the instructor laughing said I was going on my "favourite" horse, I rolled my eyes, oh no, that means Tommy. I've riddenhim once before it he was a nightmare, slow slow slow, real hard work just keeping up with the other horse.

Well, not yesterday, clearly he was full of the joys of spring, merrily jogging along, seeing lots of ghosts in the hedges!!! Forward going the whole time, actually wanting to canter when asked. Then a tractor came up behind us, we moved over to a patch of grass by the side of the rode, but Tommy didn't like it one bit:eek:and we had some proper "dancey" moments!! Apparently he is not normally so spooky!

It was great, reminded me so much of riding my Welsh cob in the old days, never knowing what was going to happen round the next corner LOL!!!

The instructor and I had so much fun!

Aw good for Tommy - that spring grass is starting to kick in!

Glad you enjoyed your ride, it's nice when the reliable 'plods' remind us they have a fun side now and then :)
