So, decided that after two and a half years straight of getting up and feeding the whole yard, i was going to pass it over for one morning to someone else to get up.
Slept in till 7.30 (major lie in for me) got up and dressed and off to the Trafford centre to hit the shops.
Got home at 12.00 and went off to the yard to ride, to be greeted by a completely trashed stable, water feeder off the wall, rugs ripped and strewn everywhere and William on 3 legs!
Heart rate was up, so rang the vets. they came out sedated him and clean up his legs where he had stood on himself, all his fetlock was swollen and bleeding and his knees were grazed from banging his walls.
coming out again tomorrow to re-bandage and check him over.
HONESTLY! i can't have one morning off without him getting into trouble!!
Talk about being in a routine, thats ridiculous! he hadn't even eaten all his breakfast!!
Wondering what would happen if i was so ill i couldn't get out of bed!

I know the feeling, stuff always seems to get damaged when I am not there too, or the horses get into a fight.

They bl00dy KNOW when you are going to turn your back for one second. It's not worth it. I am taking my bed out there.

I went to Robinson's once and came back to a kick injury that took three months to heal.

Thats awful. Sods law if I leave the yard for more than half a day something goes t!ts up. Last August for instance I was taken to casualty with a broken hand and got home to find our old boy had been pts (long story). Im sure I am becoming insular, not wanting to leave home just in case.
