Absolutely over the moon!!!

Was riding today at 1 so had all morning to worry about it so went to the exam centre to plait up the lovely Bill who I had to rudely awaken from a deep sleep. :p Before I even had time to panic was off for briefing and had to go and get on.

He was very good on the flat, well behaved and went well. Time for swap horses and I rode a lovely little turbo-cob and my friends quirky ISH and felt I did alright on both and gave good assessments of them both. Time to get back on Bill for no stirrups work and then xc and sj.

He flew around the xc course until we got to the last fence which was a little polyjump xc fence skinny which Bill has taken a rather dislike to. Had 2 stops at that but apparently I dealt with them well and discussed with the examiner well on how I could improve it and what went wrong. Then time for SJ and Bill was a bit tired by this point I think and felt behind my leg we had a very unfortunate pole down but all in all it was a good round.

Now for an hour wait before results! It was dreadful then I was the first to be called in to be de-briefed so thought great I failed but I didn't!!! :D :D :D :D

All thanks to Bill and my wonderful RI. :)

Now might start working towards my AH and coaching certificate.

That's fantastic well done you!

Is it wrong that I still have my PC badge with the red felt underneath on my jacket even though I passed my B ten years ago but left pony club 5 years ago?!!!!

Was proud of myself then and still now!

Oh well never mind!

Oh so well done. I failed mine twice 35 years or so ago and still remember revising harder for that than my 'O' levels :(:( The pain of that failure is still with me!! Are you doing your 'A'? (Do they still have them??) I remember revering anybody with an 'A'.

I failed it two years ago and can totally sympathise with you the pain of it! I wouldn;t go out competing for ages as I was so sure I was a krap rider and wasn't worthy.

Not sure about A test don't think I'm a good enough rider to be honest but going to speak to RI about it. If I decide to do it I'll do it in my gap year. :)

Well done. Is there still a H test in between B and A? I seem to remember that was the next step after B in my day but it was mostly stable management with only lunging and ride and lead on the practical side? About 15 years ago so could well have changed! I went off to uni after my B test so never got as far as that!

After B test you do your lunging test (which I've already done) then AH test which is the care side of it and then the A test is more the riding side of the test. :)

!

Not wrong at all! I passed mine 29 years ago and I still have the felt pinned on the inside of an old show jacket as a good luck talisman :)
