Just so fed up!!! Bit long

Have a new DIY on the yard where I keep The Bean (I am also DIY). Either myself or daughter goes up to the yard every morning @6.00-6.30 and feed everything. The new person on the yard has accused me of forgeting to feed her horse yesterday and said because of it he bit her!!! I fed him with all the others like I do every day.There were two buckets of feed left on the side for him. She said that she didn't know what I had fed him as his feed was still on the side. She then started having a fat go at me. I told her that if she didn't like it she should get her a**e to the yard b 4 9.00 and feed him herself.I explained that I do not have to feed all the others as I am not staff. When yard manager questioned her about this, she said that the manager had fed him. YM said, no, she didn't. Said livery then realised that she had actually forgotten to feed him herself the night before.She then hid her face and walked away!! Apology you would think?? Nope. Now feel like c**p and I don't know why.

Just need some cheering up.

Unfortunately there are quite a few ungreatful people out there who expect everything to be done for them but won't lift a finger themselves.

Explain again that you are not paid to feed the horses and it is not your obligation to feed them but you do it as a favour. Tell her that her behaviour is unacceptable and if she is rude again she can do it herself!

Don't worry, that's people for you! If only the world was full of horses, ponies, cats & dogs (+me, my fiancee, my daughter, her nan, my brother, my friends, all the people we compete against, the Customers that keep our business going etc)

Good for you that you stuck up for yourself. Perhaps you should take this as a warning and steer clear - let her feed her own horse in future or get someone else to do it. You do it out of the kindness of your heart and get shouted at for it. Even if she apologises she has shown her true colours.

Sadly experiences with people like her over the years are what stops me from being too helpful on our yard as it's never worth it. Your turn to bite her now methinks!

Tell her to get her ass out of bed and feed her horse herself if she's going to be like that. Just do yours and don't get involved with other people's, it saves trouble in the long run.

Thats pretty much what I did say and her strange friend then chipped in (doesnt even have a horse at yard) so got told to mind her own business. The reason we feed round is it is the yard policy that 1st one up does so. We dont mind and it has worked perfectly up until now. Decided that I no longer give a monkies and she can just get on with it. Thankies to everyone for your support and making me feel better. xxx

Ungrateful c*w! I find bursting into tears does the trick

I am really sensitive and if that had happened to me I would have been SO upset, so do sympathise!
Poor horse though - fancy having HER as a Mummy!
