Being a local I want to do whatever I can to help and they have advised that obviously the easiest thing is to make a donation (can be done online or on telephone), but they are also taking names and telephone numbers of anyone who can offer physical help with a view to calling people back when they know if they are needed.

So anyone that can offer help, the phone number is 01494 488464.

I would love to help, but I'm too far away I'd think. I'm on the Staffs/Cheshire border but have many, many acres that could be used to emergency grazing whilst they look for alternative accomodation for the horses more long term.

I think it would be worth calling to offer the grazing, perhaps once they have all been assessed they will need grazing for the ones that are well enough?

I have just spoken to the ILPH who are doing a similar thing.

They have been inundated with offers of help from stables & grazing to feed & rugs to voluntary help which is so nice to hear, people really are rallying round to help.

I have offered to do anything I can to help but I think their main source of help is via donation.

I think IPC Media ought to make a donation to help these horses as the publisher of H&H and other horse related mags

I'm sure the feed companies like D&H will also be helping in some way

so long as the donation of course doesn't goto the rspca...

Does anyone know if they would like any feed? I know someone who lives near one of the sanctuaries and he said if I buy some feed he will take it there for me. (I am also donating online!)
