It's only 5 months until the most depressing day (27th January) of the week of the year - the week after Boxing Day.

It seems to me (do slap me if I am wrong - I know you will) but everyone seems to be falling out at the moment. I DO appreciate the arguments that are being taken seriously and I hope things return to an equilibrium soon.

BUT the clegs are going, the light and the long evenings are still here, the ground is NOT deep in mud and winter is still a while away.

There is still time to sit on your horse, go and gallop over the stubble or tackle a fence while the going's good.

I am not saying this because I am a fluffy bunny. I am saying this as someone who has gone through really crappy, shocking years and who now looks at a swallow and marvels that it exists and makes it all the way to Africa...

Sorry. Rant over. :o

Happy riding all :)

Tis very true, we take too much for granted at times. Lets hope harmony reigns once more and that all the bad feelings etc will fade away. Life is too short and we really must make the most of it - especially as you say, whilst the nights are light and the sun shines its warmth. I cantered my horse up a field for the first time (after her tendon injury) in over a year on Sunday and it felt so good. Amazing how small things make you feel really happy.

omfg you have just made me think about christmas.... noooooo :(

but yeah other than wishing my year away... well said :D
