Georgie [Buntine] and I decided to go for a paddle...Georgie is slightly taller than me so it doesn't look to bad on her, but I'm 5"3 [just] and had it just above ankle deep, and mid-shin deep in places.

Oh, and for anyone interested, Little Sh*tty lived up to his name. Exploded in the DR, with a two for picking up right canter [I have never ever EVER had a two], because he actually picked up left canter lead and then refused to come back to me to change, and spent 15secs cantering sideways on the spot like a JA pony with me munching his ears

finally managed to get him to change for the circle, and the judge put the comment "picked up canter, well done." That made me smile. She had a sense of humour

or actually maybe she was being serious

One stop SJ totally my fault, just sort of flopped into the fence and did nothing and it took him a bit by surprise. Was a little bit bitty in places, chipping in, but flew the last.

And XC? We beat Stratford Hills where we got to fence 6.

We got to fence 3 this time.

He flew fence 1, then stopped at 2, and stopped at 3, so I just put my hand up and said no thank you. It's level, just think it's in his head now. Don't think we'll be doing Buckminster PN somehow.

Frustrating isn't the word K - if he'd done a DC like he did at LD he'd had been 6th at Stratford Hills, and 5th at Wolverhampton. Even with his stop at WH, if he'd been clear with up to 2 time pens xc, he'd have been 6th.

After LD I actually felt like we could do it. Now we have two R's on the trot. His DR at SH filled me with hope.

Getting back lady out so I'm hoping she'll find something - sounds awful but at least if we know there's something we can fix it.

Wow some puddle! Sorry you had a bad day, like you say hopefully there's some underlying cause but if not then plenty of work at home should help put it right.
