Poor little Chloe, took a step backwards and she was right behind me, trod on her little paw wearing my flat boots. She cried for a good few seconds but is now happily trotting about and has even dug another hole in my garden.. Surely if it was broken she wouldnt be doing this, would she? Please tell me that they are tougher than they look.

I regularly tread on the Spangles as they are always under my feet.....they are pretty tough stuff :) Oh managed to knock Molly down the stairs the other day as she stopped at the top and he walked straight into her :(

They are tougher than they look! If she is putting weight on it and using it to dig she's probably fine! To be 100% pick up the paw and try to feel between the nails, etc. if she doesn't react she's fine!

Thanks both, I just felt so awful cos shes such a little sweetie and does follow me about, should have been more careful. Have just had a fiddle with said paw and she was trying to play with my earring so I dont think shes too bothered about it. Shes toddled off for a kip now so Ill see how she is this evening, if it looks sore Ill reassess need to visit vet:(

Reminds me of having the maraunding babay spangles here, they where always getting trod on and feet jammed in door, as they where like lightening following you, OH used to gasp when they screamed and would not put the paw down for a while, I never panicked, and sure enough the paw would go back down 10 mins later, it's highly unlikely to be broke when weight bearing, still panicks u a bit though:)

Pleased to report, paw seems fine, as does Chloe. She has just nicked me riding boot from the cloakroom and hurtled off down the garden with it!! Bless:) I shall try not to tread on her again but you are so right Cayla, they move so bloomin quick. I am so used to the oldies who never do anything quickly!
