Just wondering

We paid £500 for an 18yr old TB ex racer, best buy ever (apart from my lad at 1800) sadly we lost him to colic six months later. paid £500 for a 12yr old ex broodmare that after dentist visit turned out to be 18yrs old, we get oldies knowing that whatever happens they are with us for life. I wouldn't pay a lot as age related problems can occur, our mare has just been diagnosed with Arthritis, doesn't matter a jot

Sorry I'd be looking at less than £500 and in all honesty that'd be pushing it. A friend was recently given an 18 year old TB ex polo pony, perfectly sound, safe and rideable but nobody wanted her because of her age. She's a cracking little horse though, escorts all the babies out on hacks :)

My horses is 18 but you wouldn't know it!! Everyone is always shocked when I tell them her age!! But if Incas looking for a horse I really would be pushing it to get something over 14 unless it was on loan. However this is based on info from when I was a kid and horses are living longer these days so maybe we should re evaluate this old age boundary line thing!!! :-)

My TB is 14 and still gives other horses a run for their money. Shes as fast as a whip and is showing no signs of slowing down either.

Depending on what the TBs done etc. Dressage? XC? over the years.. If shes done and Dressage this is something you could also carry on as the years clock up?

It depends how young she is herself. We ALL age differently.
I'd say up to a grand. (but I'm tight with money ;))
