My horse cut his leg about halfway up his NSR cannon. Not a big deal. Some anit-bac cream, few days of antibiotics and it's just about healed.
Looked at it earlier this week and the original cut is gone, but it now looks like he's skinned a patch about the size of a ten pence coin. Been keeping an eye on it (putting cream on it, keeping it clean etc) and I'm convinced it's actually spread? There's ever-so-slight heat immediately around it, but none about or below it. No troubling pulse either and it's certainly not painful. It's not proud flesh, as he's had it before and I'm pretty quick to jump on it. I put a bandage over it last night (with a little Dermobian) hoping that it might draw something out. But there was nothing. Just clean Dermobian and a smudge of healthy blood.
I don't know what to do with it.
The only thing I haven't tried is leaving it with nothing on. I don't want it getting covered with yuck. Dry bandage perhaps? It's literally only skin deep.
