HI

I have been advised that my boy needs a new saddle as collegiate has wrong tree shape for him, thats fine but saddler said the Kent and Masters Dutch GP is corect - how does this differ from the normal GP? Does anyone know as cant see any info online about this model just normal GP or cob.

Anyone heard of this or know what it is?
thanks

Never heard of it  I've got the cob GP and it's great, but there isn't even anything on Google about the "Dutch" one ... may be worth phoning your saddler to see if they can clarify.

I have heard good reviews of the K&M, they are similar to TGs and apparently they fit a lot of different types.

I have Tg T6's for my guys and love them so if ever i was looking for a leather one they would be what i would go for :)

i love my k&m jumping saddle:D mine was from kay hastilow... am guessing she might be your saddler too? if not id giver her a call as she is in fife and deals in K&M.

Hi all

Yeah Kay is my saddler and away the now - I called K&M and the dutch GP is not a standard model but available to fitters - its sounds like a cross between a cob/flatter back so wider in waist but with a standard wither clearance, sounds about right for my big chap he is defo wide but has a wither so not a cob.

Great - now just have to get my dressage saddle away so can order from Kay when she is back ;-D

once we get a GP sorted going to save for the fairfax dressage saddle - tried on from Kay on old horse and was lovely............. Nicer than the K&M as bigger knee block - and just super comfy for my bum. Lush!!!!

thats good news!

re her being away... she is about until the 16th, I know because Ive just come from her house collecting a saddle!

One of my local saddlers has a second hand dutch GP, 17', brown, if that's what you're after? Antonia Wills is her name, should come up on google. I've got a K&M jump which is on the cob tree and fits my sportshorse, really comfy saddle!

I have the answer to this question now. apparently the dutch version is made for Kay Hastilow and is flatter across the back for broader horses, so could be right for a cob.
