About people using mobile phones in the line up, I'm gobsmacked, why on earth would anyone think that was acceptable?
Has anyone actually seen this happening?

Never seen it but wouldnt surprise me nowadays. its rude unprofessional(whatever level)and personally if seen should be marked down(waiting for the backlash here lol) :)

tbf, when I go out on my own I keep my phone (on silent) in my pocket and it also acts as my watch. If in a long class where we were in the line up for well over an hour I may well check it as I untacked the horse to trot up especially if I had another class to go to I thought I'd do better in. (or the workers and that was a flat class :p ;) )

My mum judged last year and I stewarded for her someone came out to do there individual show and there phone rang. They took it out and pressed a button (we assumed turning it off) my mum said good morning and it rang again. Mum was a bit peeved to say the least lol.

If anyone does answer their phone in the line up, they should be asked to leave the ring IMO and would be if I were judging. I may well have my phone on silent in my pocket, but no way would I take or make a call, it is just so rude!
