sorry if this has been done before, but it's the first i've heard of her not being welcome at a cartier polo tournament....WTF surely her money is as good as anyone else's, she has earned it as a glamour model - so bloody what???? how rude, i'm glad she gave them what for in the daily mail!! good on her!

Sorry but I for one am SO bored of hearing about sodding KP! Yes, publicity is good for the sport but FFS, I'm bored of seeing her s*dding name!!!

Sorry lilym, no reflection on you at all.

I agree, I cannot see what the obsession is with her. She is not my cup of tea at all. This doesn't make me a snob, I just don't like what I have seen of her!

I am not a dressage/polo fan particularly and having her as a role model would not make me show more intrerest in either sport.

Each to their own I suppose.

There has been loads of posts about this. She was not excluded from the main event, only by the Chinawhites tent, which is sod all to do with Cartier.

Katie Price has done extremely well for someone with no talent but good looks, but I find it amazing she has been invited to ride at HOYS to do what? I dont think shes capable of giving an advanced dressage display, it seems ridiculous when I think how hard the rest of us have to work to qualify. Still i expect all the men will enjoy watching her do sitting trot!

I think she is good and bloody good on her if she wants to do well. I don't know why people have to put her down just because of what she does for a job. She has always had horses and if she wants to do a dressage display well good luck to her. I only wish i had that sort of money to get to HOYS and do a dressage display.

It has nothing to do with what she does for a living; I just don't happen to think she rides well enough to justify a display at HOYS. That's not what I'd go to HOYS to see.

So what if she's always had horses? Lots of other people have too and many more ride better than she does. I don't MIND that she's been offered a display, I'm just not interested in seeing her.
I think it's great that she's got all that money to invest in fabulous horses and training. I don't begrudge her that at all, but she's no more interesting to me than anyone else who rides at prelim level.

Her slot is more of a masterclass from what I can ascertain, with her trainer who many people are happy to pay to watch teach...she will do a DTM bit with input from Andrew - I think it will be fun to watch!

Masterclass at HOYS - from what I have heard it will be a very lighthearted approach from both KP and Andrew Gould - and if you dont want to watch it - then go do some shopping!! I too am fed up wtih all everyone going on about her - but the only thing that really made me laugh, she was at the Gala Evening at Hickstead on Sat. 26 July and gave the rosettes out for the Showjumpers/Eventers challenge. When asked a few questions by Richard Davison at the end, she said that sh was very grateful for everyone welcoming her to the sport (whats all that about!) and that with Andrew as a trainer - if she did s**t she would blame him! A complete silence went around the arena, but it was quite amusing!!
