hey, well it seems to be a bit of a mystery! I was up yesterday evening and it was bandaged up and looking puffy, I rode and it went gone down again and again he's completely sound. YM said it went down completely after his turnout so it seems to swell when he's standing in his stable. We've kept it bandaged and he's had some bioflow boots on which seemed to help a lot. I've continued treating the mud fever and the scab is nearly gone now so all is looking up. I have the day off work so i'm heading up to the stables soon and I will let you know how he is.
I don't think so, he seems very happy in himself. He had a sports massage on Monday by a specialist (who also happens to have her horse on our yard!) and she spent ages with me trotting him up and down and feeling all his muscles etc and she was very happy to agree that he certainly wasn't in any pain or discomfort. I also had a chat with the vet who simply recommends what we're doing and says that unless his lame and unless it goes down in a few days then there wasn't much he could do that my YO isn't already doing. Like I say he's 100% sound still so we'll just keep treating it and bandaging it and keeping him mobile. I have a lesson tonight with my trainer so he's give me an honest opinion too. Thanks for the advice xxx
