So for all the naysayers-isn't it just terrible that according to the recent H+H article he has stopped box walking, stopped being so super charged that he behaves when ridden and gets adlib forage rather than restricted rations.... must be really pining for the champions box on a racing yard.....

That's probably because he's off the high energy feed, isn't fighting fit and ready to race 3 miles against the best horses in this country.

Horses for courses I think...

My old mare box walks, is a **** to ride and hard to handle on pony nuts or any high energy feed even when she is in 6 days a week work....on a high fibre diet with she is a completely different horse.....they are managed completely different on a racing yard to a eventing/SJ/Dressage yard so its really a moot point

Of course the fact is that a horse that is box walking is an unhappy horse..one that is settled is happier - so not quite a moot point...
