Kauto Star wins the Betfair Chase

Ridden by Ruby Walsh. His 3rd Betfair Chase win and his 12th grade 1 win (i think?). Very thrilling finish - literally a whisker between him and Imperial Commander who showed brilliant stamina over his longest trip to date. A couple of amazing horses

Kauto Star's jumping definitely had the edge and no doubt was the difference between 1st and 2nd!

I was sitting watching the TV going "He's got him, no he hasn't! Yes he has! no he hasn't!" If Imperial commander hadn't hit one two or three out I think he'd have got him - def one to follow!

He definitely needed that run though, sheer guts won him that race. Hopefully it'll set him up for the rest of the season!

I thought Imperial Commander had got up! Kauto Star had to battle a bit on ground that is probably not to his best liking, but he won through.
Alberta's Run at Ascot was very impressive

I wanted Imperial Commander to win because I know Paddy, but was a gutsy performance from Ruby and Kauto !

To say he hasnt had a run and they usually improve from their first outing i think his next 2 races will be awesome to watch,he slogged his guts out and deserved the win

His jumping was perfection today,what a horse and heres to another KG an CGC
