KBIS Insurance - are they reliable

Have just got my renewal notice from NFU, which was really scary. I'm considering a move to KBIS and wondered how well they performed re claims/exclusions etc (not intending to have any .. but you can never be too sure)

If you have any experiences, good or bad I'd really like to hear from you ... may be as well to PM me any not so good tales, don't really want to get myself banned from HHO
 
I moved from Stoneways to KBIS and we have saved lots of money! Since having them they have always paid out, no problems at all. I would recommend them! x
 
Just renewed with them for a 2nd year, had a lot of claims in year one and they were great, no quibbles and helpful people on the phone too
 
had two big claims - one in 2007 and one this year.
Excellent service both times, vets paid by return of post. Even paid for shoes for the yearling on this year's claim when strictly he wasn't covered for it and could have wriggle dout of it, but they said they would pay as it was a hospital plate. Haven't hiked his premium either.
 
Prompt and efficient in payment, polite and friendly on the phone. They seem very reasonable about exclusions and removing them in some cases if no further problems occur for a year. They have been very good for us for both of our horses and were very kind when we lost one last year - not essential, I know, but nice.:)
 
Amazing!!! Would highly recommend i have only been with them just over a month and they have paid out on a claim for my mare within 10 days of the forms being submitted.

I am still waiting nearly 4 months for my other horses insurers to let me know what they are doing with his claim for lymphocyctic vasculitis :rolleyes:
 
Got my new youngster in May and insured him with KBIS. Well, my boy went and got kicked in the field and ended up with staples, an infected tract, X-rays, IV anti-biotics etc etc - about £715 of treatment:eek:. Sent my claim form in to KBIS last week and had confirmation in the post Monday of this week saying that full payment had been sent to the vets. So I'm very impressed with them.:)
 
Another vote Yes KBIS been with them for many years have shopped around and found I could not get any better cover. Managed to save a few extra pounds by having BHS gold membership which covers the public liability.
 
Another one who can highly recommend KBIS. I moved from NFU due to insurance hike and currently have an on going claim with KBIS for lameness. They are quick efficient and helpful .
 
Just recieved a cheque from them today! Have had 2 claims with them and paid quickly with no problems. Been with them for years- would definately recommend!
 
Ooooh, sounds good. Ive just had a renewal through from NFU too :eek: Nice way to treat loyal customers isnt it, wouldnt you think it would be nicer for them to just say they dont want to do horse insurance anymore.
