Great post. I always feed ad lib hay in this weather and mine thrive on it. Makes me laugh when other people ask wouldn't my horses be happier brought in the warm overnight? What, with 1 small net of haylage like yours and then nothing from 7pm-morning? No, I don't think so!
Only problem is my old girl who won't eat much hay anymore. Sad, as it's just the perfect feed/fuel and feeding her hay replacements/chaff gets expensive!
